Summer of Fun

Grant and I recently sat down and came up with a list of things to do this summer.  I wanted some kind of go to list so most of days aren't spent playing video games or taking random trips to Target.

I thought this would be quick and easy task, but, leave it to Grant to turn it into event.  First, he decided he wanted to write the list.  Ok.  No problem.  Then he decided we had to do everything on the list... in chronological order.  And, we could only do everything on the list ONE time.

When I finally reasoned with him that we would definitely not be doing the activities in order and we mostly likely would do some of them several times, he was okay.

Here was his list.

1.  pool
2.  outside (as in play outside)
3.  Pump it Up
4.  Vincent (as in his best friend Vincent come over and play)
5.  go to the zoo
6.  Ryan (as in his other best friend Ryan come over and play)
7.  bowling
8.  Chuck E. Cheese
9.  science center
10.  Peek-a-Boo Playtown
11.  bgach (as in the beach)
12.  fishing (as in with Daddy)

My list includes his items as well as a few more that he wouldn't let me put on the list including: swim school, vacation Bible school, and making popsicles.  I think he just got board after number 12.

We've already done a few things on the list as you can see from the check marks.  Last week, we rode the Music City Star, went to the zoo, and Vincent came over for a play date.

With only 5 weeks left of summer, I guess we better get busy with staying busy.

  1. I love that he wrote his own list! I see the dreaded Chuck E. Cheese made it on your list as well. I'm thinking that's one that you'd be fine with doing only once!
