Big Boy Bed

After having Grant's new mattress on the floor for a couple of weeks, Dad and Erick attached the rails to the headboard. He now has an official big boy bed.

I was worried he might be intimidated by it's size, but he loves it.

Just a few issues here and there.... one of the first few nights I woke up to a loud "THUMP" and then hear Grant crying. I rushed upstairs only to find Grant awake but safely in his bed. My only conclusion was the thump I heard must of been Champ and Grant had already rescued him by the time I got up there.

A week or so later, Danny and I were awoken suddenly at 3:00am to the sound of Grant entering our room. "Mommy," he said. "I can't find my dog." Grant had found his way through the dark and down the stairs, but he couldn't locate Champ who was in his bed all along.

Several other times he has woken up at 5:45 or 6:00 in the morning to catch Danny working out or me still dreaming in my bed. When he gets up too early he has the cutest saying... "I woke up very much, mommy."

Grant's Third Birthday

We celebrated Grant's birthday at home with an adorable "choo choo" train cake made by Mimi. All of the fam was there including Nana and O' Dad, Uncle ET, Aunt Angie, Autumn, Peyton, Mimi, Pops, UD, Nanny and Gaga, Granny, Sara, Brian, Addison, Karla, and Kelsey and CJ.

We enjoyed lunch, cake and ice cream, a simple game of pin the number one on Thomas (which Grant refused to do blindfolded), and opening presents. Grant made out like a bandit with summer clothes and of course more toys... the shake n go crash up race track from mommy and daddy, bowling, and other various games just to name a few.

After a day of cooking, cleaning and partying, I still had to make cupcakes for Grant to take to preschool the next day.

Next year we're going to Chuck E. Cheese's!
